Helping with Global Development, Problem Resolution, and Reliable Energy Supply

As an energy supplier, the oil industry has the critical mission of providing a stable supply of energy. Currently, to accomplish the goals of improving refinery productivity and strengthening competitiveness, as well as providing a stable supply of energy, the industry is working to make operations safe and stable, to reduce costs, and to upgrade refinery equipment, in order to construct a robust supply chain extending from the refinery to the gas station. At the same time, the industry has been pressing forward to better serve society's needs by transforming itself into a comprehensive energy supplier.

Azbil provides its measurement and control products, solutions, and maintenance services in all kinds of areas across the supply chain, including oil refineries (both onsite and offsite facilities), oil tanks, and oil storage depots. We look forward to making further contributions to improve the dependability of the energy supply and to help customers with global development and problem resolution.

Customer and Case Study Overview Products and Services
IRPC Public Company Limited

IRPC Public Company Limited

IRPC Public Company Limited, which operates petroleum and petrochemical businesses in Southeast Asia, uses a distributed control system (DCS) to automate the production of resin. In the past, operators frequently needed to fine-tune the polymerization reactor temperature, which affects product quality.
The company has now introduced a control performance optimization design tool developed by Azbil that uses artificial intelligence (AI).
By simulating and setting the appropriate control solution in the DCS to meet manufacturing conditions such as grade, recipe, and number of batches, the company has improved product quality, reduced operator workload, and saved energy.

Mitsui Chemicals Osaka Works

Mitsui Chemicals Osaka Works

The Mitsui Chemicals Osaka Works produces petrochemicals and basic chemicals that are widely used as materials for automobile parts and home appliances. When expanding the polyolefin manufacturing facilities there, the company installed a device management system to promote equipment management using HART® communication. This enables labor-saving maintenance and early troubleshooting of onsite equipment like valves.
